Trump: climate change is a joke – The world doesn’t laugh

 In Climate Change, Politics

The US President, Donald Trump has tweeted not once, but multiple times that global warming is a hoax. While most of our environmental activists, countless of Entrepreneurs and scientists are struggling to find a solution for the existing problem (this might surprise Trump), Mr. Trump repeatedly shared his views on climate change via Twitter, stating it is not real.

The White House spokesperson, Spicer was confronted and asked if Mr. Trump still thinks climate change is a hoax (after he was elected to be the US President). Predictably, Spicer did not give a clear answer. To be precise, his exact words were…

“I think [President Trump] understands — he does not believe,as I mentioned at the outset, that there is a binary choice between job creation, economic growth, and caring about the environment, and that’s what we should be focusing on.”

“I think at the end of the day, where we should be focusing on is making sure that all Americans have clean water, clean air,and that we do what we can to preserve and protect our environment.”

Since 2011, he repeatedly shared his negation on the topic almost 115 times, according to a count by Fox. He used the fact that it was cold outside as evidence to his claims. Unfortunately, that’s not how global warming works

One of the embarrassing Tweets of Trump

The former President Barrack Obama had the USA involved in the Paris Accord pact, which aims to tackle global warming. But Trump signed after his election,  an executive order which directed his Cabinet to withdraw the pact.

Spicer insisted that the President “cares and wants to preserve the environment”, and yet his actions completely beg to differ.

WITHDRAWAL FROM THE PARIS CLIMATE AGREEMENT

Trump believes that the Paris agreement would lead to the redistribution of the American jobs and wealth. But contradictory to his statement, Obama argued that being involved in this agreement will create more wealth and produce jobs at home.

Trump believes that the Paris agreement would lead to the redistribution of the American jobs and wealth. But contradictory to his statement, Obama argued that being involved in this agreement will create more wealth and produce jobs at home.

He explained…

Agreement. India will be allowed to double its coal production by 2020. Think of it: India can double their coal production. We’re supposed to get rid of ours.” the President said, adding that the agreement is less about the climate and more about other countries gaining a financial advantage over the U.S.

Right after being elected, Trump dismantled Obama’s climate actions by pulling US out of the Paris Accord.

Thus, as of today, the United States will cease all implementation of the non-binding Paris Accord and the draconian financial and economic burdens the agreement imposes on our country.” the President said.

Former President Obama added, “The nations that remain in the Paris Agreement will be the nations that reap the benefits in jobs and industries create.”

I believe the United States of America should be at the front of the pack. But even in the absence of American leadership; even as this Administration joins a small hand full of nations that reject the future; I’m confident that our states, cities, and businesses will step up and do even more to lead the way,and help protect for future generations the one planet we’ve got.
